From his first watercolour at the age of nine to the present Peter has used painting and drawing to respond to his surroundings  whether the natural world of bush and sky or old buildings in country and urban landscapes. An adult career in architecture and then as a university academic enabled him to return to art only occasionally. Later running a certified organic farm in Karrridale and producing organic wines he was able to return to painting more consistently but it was not until retirement from the farm and the wine industry that Peter has been able to devote much more time to painting and drawing. He now concentrates on developing his skills to interpret different ways of looking at the natural world.
